Bowls is a mentally stimulating activity that offers the opportunity for great friendships whilst enjoying the outdoors. Participating in the sport of lawn bowls does not require outstanding strength or physical attributes unless you are playing at a very advanced level.
For those so inclined, bowls can also provide a competitive outlet, to be enjoyed for most of one’s life.
Learning the game
Playing is the best way to learn, which is why we have a mentor/buddy system to help you get started. Joining in with social bowls or even competition as a beginner is a good way to learn and improve. Members are very supportive of new players and will guide you through the game.

Whilst volunteering is not obligatory, we certainly appreciate the time that are members contribute to the operation of the club, the sport of bowls and social activities. The time commitment is not onerous and depends on each member’s time availability & interests. There’s lots of flexibility in terms of timing and nature of the contribution.
